Join us for our summer fundraiser luncheon!
June 3, 2010 @ Center Stage (2826 Real St.)
There will be great food and fabulous performances by our talented
students, including elementary students
performing selections from Annie & Grease, as well as advanced KidsActing students performing numbers from Rent & Les Miserables.
We are wanting to spread the news of the wonderful artistry being
created by our low-income, East Austin students, especially among
young, entrepreneurs who would like to become more involved. The event
will be perfect for the middle of the day ending promptly at 12:50. We welcome all supporters to attend.

THE PONS Only Summer Show
Saturday, June 26th, 2010
9:00pm - 2:00pm
The Ghost Room (304 W. 4th St.)
Reasons to Come to this Show:
This will be our only Summer show
in Austin this year. We're taking time off to record, write, relax,
rehearse, repair, restructure & return.
So, to fully
celebrate this rare social event we have invited two of the best Austin
bands currently in vibration as well as a great Houston band we've just
discovered and decided to thrust at the wolves of Austin. Yum Yum!
Those bands are: STEREO IS A LIE, WIRETREE, and SEARCHING FOR A SIGNAL

Tips for Success from
Inside the Music Biz
presented by Austin Music Foundation
& The Recording Conservatory of
Austin
Wednesday, May 26
6:30 pm
Stubb's inside
This event is FREE to attend and open to the public.
In today's DIY music climate, there are more bands out
there than ever before. When every band on the planet is just a click
away, it's even harder to break out of the pack and get noticed by music
industry pros.
Even if you're a DIY diehard, industry support can lead
to greater opportunities, exposure and money.
Join AMF and three LA-based music industry pros for the
inside scoop on what your band can do to get the attention of people that
matter in music business.
Our panelists have experience in A&R, artist
management, licensing, booking, producing, and promotion, so they've seen
success and failure from a variety of vantage points. Learn the real deal
from industry insiders and what you can do to set your band up for success.
In addition to tips for success, this Boot Camp will
explore the current state of A&R, how the music licensing process works and
how indie bands can pitch their music, the new roles of major and indie labels,
how the pros learn about new artists, the influence of social media, and
more. There will also be a Q&A session.
